The purposes of the Society are:
- the advancement of the standard of shoulder and elbow surgery in Australia by contact and discussion among the members.
- to aid and stimulate interest in the problems of shoulder and elbow surgery in medical practice.
- to establish
shoulder and elbow surgery as a recognised sub specialtyin orthopaedic
surgery.
